Rebecca Tannahill – Winds/Piano
Rebecca Tannahill is a native of the Chicago suburbs. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in music education K-12 from Elmhurst College, where she studied with clarinetist Gail Crosson. Ms. Tannahill has her teaching certificate in music education K-12 in IL and has worked in both small group and full band settings at public schools, as well as having experience teaching abroad in Jamaica. In addition to playing clarinet, Ms. Tannahill has studied and plays saxophone, flute, oboe and piano.
Ms. Tannahill is currently performing with the Elmhurst College Wind Ensemble playing first chair bass clarinet and has played bass clarinet in the Wheaton Municipal Band in 2013. Her philosophy as a music educator is that each and every student is able to express themselves through their music and that they take away skills that will apply to their everyday lives.
