Molly Hesse began her violin studies at age five, and music has been an integral part of her life ever since. Growing up in central Illinois, her musical experiences included performing as the concertmaster with the Bloomington Normal Youth Symphony and studying with Dr. Sarah Gentry. At 13, she attended the Mark O’Connor Fiddle Camp, where she expanded her repertoire, including performing string renditions of Nine Inch Nail songs with Rachel Barton Pine.

Molly continued her studies as a Jennings Scholar at Illinois Wesleyan University, where she studied with Vadim Mazo, performed as Principal Second Violin and Associate Concertmaster with the Illinois Wesleyan Civic Orchestra, and played in numerous chamber ensembles. Molly has several years of teaching and coaching experience. She recently moved back to the Midwest and looks forward to working with students to make music a positive, life-long experience.
