Jennifer Bendelstein – Flute / Piano

Ms. Bendelstein received a bachelor’s degree in Flute Performance from Northwestern University. She has taught flute, recorder, and general music at St. Helen Catholic School in Chicago, The Monarch School, La Jolla Music, and After School Learning Tree in San Diego. She is also founder of Chicago Flute Academy. Jennifer frequently visits band and orchestra programs throughout the city, demonstrating professional flute playing to students and leading clinics to further develop the techniques of elementary to high school flutists. She also plays piccolo in Chicago City-Wide Symphony Orchestra.

Jennifer is a caring and nurturing teacher who patiently works with each student to achieve his or her goals. She offers personal guidance and support with students when they are selecting instruments, music, and supplementary materials. As a teacher, Jenny acts as liaison between students, families, and other music educators, connecting each one to complementary educational opportunities and resources across Chicago and beyond. Her goal is to build community and enhance the quality of every student’s musical journey.
