American Music Institute is a non-profit organization founded in 2006 with the mission to provide a high level of music education and music lessons for all students in all instruments, levels, ages, and styles of music. Campuses located in Clarendon Hills, Downers Grove, and St. Charles IL, AMI is dedicated to the highest quality music education and professional music performance throughout the Chicago-land community. AMI offers music lessons and programs for all types of instruments, group classes, and ensembles. We offer piano lessons, violin lessons, guitar lessons, voice lessons and music lessons in all symphonic wind, brass, and string instruments.

AMI Summer Music Camp – July 17-21

The AMI Summer Music Camp is a day camp held Monday – Friday at American Music Institute’s Clarendon Hills. It is open to all instruments and levels of students, ages 5 – 18 years old. Beginner Music Camp (5-12yrs) – Mon-Fri 9-1pm – Little Mozart Camp (5-12yrs) – Mon-Fri 9-3pm – Young Artist Camp (13-18yrs) – Mon-Fri 9-3pm – Aftercare (available) – Mon-Fri 3-5:30pm. Register Today…

Merit Scholarship gives students ages 5-18yrs old the chance to receive a scholarship based on merit to study with an AMI Awarding Faculty Member. The Conservatory Program starts in Fall 2017. This program prepares serious minded music students (ages 7-18) for a music career or to major in music in college, through education and performance geared classes. Saturdays 12pm-4pm.

Mini-Campus Program

As music educators, we are concerned about the decline in funding for music education in our public schools over the last decade. As the public purse continues to shrink, schools need to offer solid educational opportunities with fewer resources. Through this program, we can bring music lessons and music education back into schools throughout the Chicago-land area. More info…
